Blogs and Webcasts: The Latest Marketing Tools

With blogs and webcasts among the “latest” fads in marketing, I have found relatively few articles on either of these tools. Today, I located some interesting

materials on both of these techniques
. This piece addresses how to host a successful webcast, focusing on registration issues, and how to get a speaker that will “make them come.” I have found very little so far, however, on how a presenter can deliver a good webcast.

This article covers blogs as marketing tools. It outlines some of the pros and the cons of maintaining a blog. For overly-aggressive marketing types, they need to heed this advice very carefully: “a blog that is an obvious attempt at self-promotion may be mocked by other bloggers.”

I have found that a blog is terrific way to stay up-to-date and to learn about what is going on in my field.
