Change in blawg format (hopefully for the better)

Regular readers may have noticed my posts often run towards the longwinded.

Thanks to a tip I recently read about using Blogger, I have a solution. On the main and archive pages, you will now often see only a title and brief introduction to the post, followed by a “continued . . .” link, which will take you to the full story, should you be interested. This is not to be confused with the “Read more” links, which take you to original quoted source material.

This should make the main and archive page more “scannable,” and I will increase the number of posts showing accordingly. However, until I fix the old posts, they will show “continued” links, even though the whole post is showing.

I’m sure that’s perfectly clear now, and I’m going home. I do anticipate more changes and enhancements in the weeks to come.

That’s pretty convenient. Maybe I’ll do that too. Was it in the new article about “The Blogging Matrix”?

Yes, Marc, that is correct. It is an interesting article. I’m glad Blogger is writing up all those “advanced” tips. At first glance, their system is not very flexible, but these tips show you can do more once you’re willing to play with the template code a bit. Any other feedback on this change? Any other suggestions for this blawg?
