Kerry may be unable to attend nominating convention (due to his professed union loyalty)
June 27, 2004Well, perhaps I exaggerate a mite. But this swing voter’s not impressed by this Big Labor brown-nosing by Kerry:

Kerry canceled plans on Sunday to address a U.S. mayors conference this week at a hotel that is likely to be ringed by picketing police officers.Why does he back off based on “likely” pickets? Why doesn’t he tell them there damn well better not be pickets?
“I don’t cross picket lines. I never have,” Kerry said . . .
The Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association is asking for a raise of about 17 percent over four years, while Boston’s Democratic mayor, Thomas Menino, the host of the conference, has offered 11.9 percent. Read more
How many of the dyed-in-the wool Democratic voters would change their vote to Bush if Kerry showed just the tiny bit of balls that would be required to stick up for the Boston mayor? Not a one. Might he look better to some of the few swing voters in the few battleground states? Probably.
Speaking of which, my state, Missouri, is totally up for grabs, with less than a 1% difference between Bush and Kerry.
