Wondering what the latest hot HRM trends are? SHRM organized top expert panels, who were asked to come up with lists of key future trends that would have the biggest impact on the HRM profession.

The 12 panels addressed such areas as ethics, global, labor relations, HR metrics, and compensation/benefits.

The results are worth a close read. The issues that come up most frequently in the 12 panels were:


rising costs of health coverage;

technology in HR capital;

safety/security;

demographic issues, especially relating to aging workforce;

the changing nature of the HR profession.
