Destined to Be Off-Shored? A Recruiter Looks At Off-Shoring Recruitment
It seems these days that so many different jobs have the potential to be off-shored. While you may think that your job won’t be off-shored, here is an interesting article in Erexchange.com, by a recruiter, about the possibility of recruiting jobs being off-shored. Whether or not you agree with his arguments, what is particularly valuable about his article is that he explains
the many factors that may enter into determining whether to off-shore a recruiting job. Even if you are in HR, not recruiting per se, many of the same issues also apply. Thus, this article should also be of value.
In part two of this article, the author summarizes some responses he received from recruiters. He concludes with this advice to recruiters, which again, I think also applies to all HR employees:
As companies begin to outsource and offshore the administrative aspects of recruiting, this presents a very real opportunity for recruiters to excel in the areas that add the most value to their companies.
My conclusion: It’s not whether or not your job will be offshored — its which part of your job will be off-shored and what value you can offer to your (current or future) company!
