Forget $4 a gallon gas — it may be $5 per gallon gas

A few weeks ago, I talked about $4.00 a gallon gas. Now, some pundits are talking about $5 per gallon gas! The reason?

The latest storm appears to be heading towards Texas, and is likely to affect oil-refinery capacity in that area. As one energy analyst stated the problem:

This storm is in the wrong place. And it’s absolutely at the wrong time.

On a personal note, things look so uncertain in this area, that my mother is leaving Houston while she can; she is staying with me and my wife!

Meanwhile, if you live outside of the affected area, stock up on gasoline while it is relatively cheap, be ready to help those less fortunate, and consider buying or locating less expensive methods of travel.
