Not so quiet storm: All roads will lead to the corporate career center

Job Boards, e-recruiters, etc. etc. Well, according to one expert, the future lies with the corporate career center (AKA: company website), not job boards.

He argues that new search engines (e.g., Google) are about to radically change the on-line recruitment world. Instead, he argues, job boards such as Monster will

be forced to focus on the candidates much more. The “money” will be on the corporate career center, which will put more emphasis on:

Assessment, pre-screening, applicant tracking, employment branding specialists

Sounds interesting, unless you are affiliated with a major job board. Stay tuned and read the article here. For more on the basis of his argument, read here.

Thanks for keeping us up on recruiting developments, Michael.

    I think there’s a bit of a false “either/or” here.

Monster will always be great for the small employer that doesn’t do that much hiring. It worked super for me.

I suppose I could list on the firm website and hope Google picks it up, but I think there’s still a benefit to the centralization and ease of use of a single massive job board.

Others will find other approaches better.
