Telemedicine — there’s even a name for offshoring of medical services. Does it really matter where your MRI, Catscan, or ultrasound is being interpreted? How about credentials, licensing, and other measures that ensure qualifications?
These and other questions will continue to be raised, as various medical services are performed overseas. Malpractice lawsuits are sure to come up as well (take heed, attorneys!). But experts say that telemedicine is just beginning to become popular.

Interesting development. Of course, the majority of health care services are not amenable to offshoring, as they are hands on.
Before anyone gets too bent out of shape, bear in mind that this fancy diagnostic imaging is a significant factor in out-of-control medical costs.
If off-shoring some medical-related work can significantly cut costs, and quality and privacy concerns are alleviated, I’m all for it.
