You’ve Come A (Really) Long Way, Baby!
In this presumably actual publication from 1943, a transportation magazine wrote a column on how to supervise women. Assuming that it is true, I can only say “You have come a long way, baby!” For example, the first piece of advice states: If you can get them, pick
young married women.
Another piece of advice: While there are exceptions, of course, to this rule, general experience indicates that “husky” girls — those who are just a little on the heavy side — are likely to be more even-tempered and efficient than their underweight sisters.
