Poking around to see who had linked here lately, I ran across a new blog started by a Professor Prenkert for a class at Indiana University.
The blog is entitled Work/Life/Law, and I’ve added it to my bloated blogroll.
The blog’s purpose is described as follows:
This blog will use, as a jumping-off point, a variety of laws and legal regimes that target and regulate work and the workplace in order to explore how life, work, and law interact and, more specifically, to analyze some important policy issues that affect how we live, by affecting how we work.
We’ll highlight articles in the mainstream media, comment on relevant posts by other bloggers, and provide some original content flowing from our class readings and discussions.
The professor thus hopes to use a class blog as a way to enhance classroom discussion. Certainly an idea with potential, but if students aren’t properly motivated to participate it may be less than fully successful.
In any event, I’ll be watching this blog, reading with interest the student comments, and probably commenting on it, as I already did here and here.
