A recruiter friend, Karen Mattonen, tells me that many recruiters are becoming more eager to learn about discrimination laws as they become more aware of the legal risks inherent in their activities.
The stakes are increasing as candidates become more sophisticated and the new EEOC and OFCCP rules for compliance go into effect.
Last year, Karen was involved in a very popular free webinar, “The Great Recruiting Discrimination Debate: The EEOC Speaks Out!” You can watch this webinar here.
Now, “The Great Recruiting Discrimination Debate – Round 2; Taking it to the streets” is ready to roll next week.
In this free webinar, the EEOC and OFCCP “go head-to-head with human resources and recruiting professionals from across the United States.”
Round 1 was in May 2006, and 94% of participants wanted to hear more. Round 2 will be bigger and contain tougher questions.
The panel includes not only additional senior members of the EEOC and OFCCP, but also a litigator representing companies challenging these agencies.
This live panel debate in San Francisco will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2006, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Pacific Time, and will be broadcast via Webinar.
Event details can be found at www.accolo.com/streets.
Web registration is limited to the first 1,500 participants. In person attendance is limited to the first 80 participants.
