Are your employees “engaged” at work?
After nodding your head “yes,” you might want to know what employee engagement means! Employee engagement has been tied to sales growth and productivity, so it may be worth paying attention to.
Probably the easiest way to answer this question is to share with you the 12 questions that comprise the Gallup Organization’s survey of employee engagement.
Then, you can began to think about whether your employees are engaged at work, and more importantly, what it takes to make them more engaged.
The items on the survey include:
- At work, do your opinions seem to count?
- Does the mission/purpose of your company make you feel your job is important?
- Are your associates (fellow employees) committed to doing quality work?
- Do you have a best friend at work?
