Niche Job Boards and Craigslist.com: Sneakin’ Up On All of Us

As you probably know, there are lots and lots of job boards, niche job boards, and all kinds of tools for Internet recruitment/job search. One of the more interesting niche job boards
is called craigslist.com.

It keeps a low profile, emphasizing its “barebones” approach to classified job ads, housing, and all kinds of similar stuff. By maintaining such a low-key image, craigslist.com has offered a very low cost way for employers (among others) to list job openings, housing, etc.

Now, craigslist.com is going global. Yep, and they are also entering many smaller markets, beyond S.F., etc. Interesting business model?

Watch these folks; they offer an interesting model for job recruitment, which may just be successful for certain jobs!

If you are searching for a job, check them out! They are soon likely to have a website for your city, town, or village. And employers will post jobs there, too.

Check Cheezhead’s website for more info on craigslist.com.

Here’s a tip. You might consider using http://www.CraigZoom.com to search Craigslist if you are looking for a job and willing to relocate.

CraigZoom allows you to search ALL of Craigslist, rather than have to go city by city. It’ll save a ton of time.
