Q & As on Internet Applicant Definition Released

January 19, 2006

I’m sure you have been waiting eagerly now for this. This refers to the Q and As on the Internet Applicant definition, which were just recently released by the OFCCP.

Some of the Qs addressed in this document include:

What is the purpose of the Internet Applicant final rule?

Are employment tests considered basic qualifications?

What does the term “Internet or related electronic data technologies” refer to?

Is a contractor required to consider for employment every job seeker who expresses an interest in employment through the Internet and possesses the basic qualifications for a particular position?

Go here for the entire set of Q and As.

According to at least one commentator, the Q and As constitute a somewhat more readable version of the same information in the Federal Register.
