The New Era for George’s Employment Blawg, Sans Michael
As the preceding post indicates, Michael Harris has left to blog on his own. I have added his blog to my monster blogroll under “Blogs, HR and Employment,” and wish him the best.
Where does that leave me and this Blawg, you may wonder?
Well, I started it and ran it solo for the first year, so I’m certainly up for the challenge of resuming full control.
Additionally, I have plans to expand it into a family of blogs focusing more closely on particular galaxies in the vast HR/Employment Law/Workplace Issues universe that provides the fodder for this Blawg. RSS technology will allow me to provide more links, more quickly, with more topical focuses (foci) for those whose interests lie more in some areas than others.
Don’t fear, for those who enjoy the whole wonderful universe, this Blawg will be redesigned to feature additional headlines and links ranging its full width and breadth right on the front page (along with other nifty new features).
Finally, while I intend to maintain my personal blogging “voice” and editorial control, I would very much like to hear from any readers who may wish to explore contributing in some manner to my efforts. Such contributions need not be as extensive as Michael’s have been, but could range from monitoring news sources to guest-writing occasional original posts.
I missed the blog-anniversary this year, but sometime in May this Blawg reached the three-year milestone.
That reminds me that I was blogging when blogging wasn’t cool — when most people just stared blankly when I said I had a blog:
I took a lot of kiddin’
‘Cause I never did fit in
now look at everybody
tryin’ to be what I was then.
