Recruitment software provider Taleo is officially an industry leader, according to Gartner, Inc.’s “Magic Quadrant for E-Recruitment Software, 2008.“ In order to be evaluated by Gartner, a company most have more than 100 e-recruitment software customers, more than 1,000 employees, more than $25 million in total revenue (license, maintenance and services) or both.
These vendors are then assessed based on both their vision and the ability to execute it. The second of the two criterion includes the ability of the business to understand the market, its overall viability, innovation, business model, market responsiveness, and customer service experience.
“In my opinion, our placement in the Leaders Quadrant for E-Recruiting is validation of Taleo’s industry-leading recruiting solution as a key application within Taleo’s unified talent management platform,” said president and CEO of Taleo Michael Gregoire. “Shifting employee demographics, low levels of engagement and high levels of employee turnover call out for a new generation of talent management applications. At Taleo, our goal is to maintain our leadership position by delivering the next generation, easy-to-use and highly integrated talent management applications.”
According to the report, Gartner considers a vendor a leader in recruitment software if they “have products that can meet the challenges presented by large, complex global organizations. These vendors have strong track records, and demonstrate strong sales and marketing execution. Typically, they have well-articulated strategies that include an in-depth focus (for example, workforce planning, contingent workforce management, vertical markets and geographic expansion) on talent acquisition or a broader focus on talent management (for example, performance management, succession management and compensation management).”
Taleo has made the report and quadrant graphic viewable at www.taleo.com/MagicQuadrant. Only two other vendors, Kenexa and StepStone, made it into the Leaders Quadrant with Taleo.
