Share the Love — And Help with Someone’s Job Search
Valentine’s Day 2009 — Many People Aren’t Feeling the Love
In today’s economic climate, it can be harder than ever for first-time job seekers to break into the market. The fact is, though, that our country is in this recession together, and working together will help us end it more quickly. Thankfully, we’ve been turned on to a way you can not only celebrate St. Valentine’s special Day (just a month away!), but also do something valuable for someone who needs your help.
Tired of Flowers for Valentines’ Day? Get Something Unique and Help a Job-Seeker
Granted, no one’s tired of getting chocolates during our national holiday of romance (or anytime, for that matter), but what else would you like to give those special someones on your Valentine’s list?
Moreover, have you been wondering about ways to pitch in and help your fellow citizens weather the recession?
Wonder no more on both counts, because Julie Roads of Writing Roads has found a unique way to help you do both.
The Love E-Book
Julie and friends are compiling tasteful love poetry and artwork into “The Love E-Book,” which they will be making available for download through Julie’s site from Feb. 11 – 14.
You can the e-book for free, but if you choose to donate, every penny you give — from $1 – $1,000+ — will be given to Dress for Success (for women) and Career Gear (for men), national organizations that help job-seekers through skills training, interview training — and proper clothing for interviews.
Seeking Love-Related Submissions Through Jan. 31
Have some (tasteful) love poetry or (digital – and also tasteful) love-related artwork you’d like to donate to the elevation of romance and hope for a job-seeker?
