Proposed legislation (senate bill 600) would raise minimum wage in Illinois.
Current federal minimum wage is $5.15 an hour; Illinois proposal increases it by state law to $6 an hour for employees 18 years or older, and then to $6.50 after Sept. 6, 2004.
Gov. Blagojevich has stated he will promote and sign this legislation.
What? Its not enough to have the nation’s most pro-plaintiff court system in Madison and St. Clair counties, and high workers comp? More must be done to scare away business and jobs?
