Tattoos & piercings remain hot topic, at least in St. Louis
Would you hire someone with tattoos and body piercings?
Given the continued popularity of my own forays into this topic, I voted (“maybe”) and peeked at the results.
And what were the results?
15%
YES — Their bodies are their own business
47%
MAYBE — It depends on how visible and how disruptive they may be

NO WAY — I have my business’ reputation to think about

Polls are unscientific and for entertainment purposes only.
Consider this when you’re thinking about whether (and where) to engage in body modification.
Clearly it’s going much more mainstream. Equally clearly, it still turns a significant number of people off totally.
As for myself (as if you care, right?), I’m starting to find tasteful, well-placed tattoos, and navel and small nose piercings to be potentially attractive in women.

My longtime partner has both her nose and navel pierced as well as 2 small tattoos. Her new boss took 2 weeks to notice her nose piercing and then asked about any others – she showed him her navel and both her tattoo’s.
As she works for a very conservative Tax consultancy she got a bit nervous. Her boss walked away and then came back with 2 other senior managers and asked her to show them. They all thought that they were ‘very cool’ – their words. Since then she is now the ‘wild child’ of the office and the company is very proud that they have someone on board who breaks their very traditional views about body art.
