Lessons: These regs are tricky but most often contain the answer, if you take the time to look at them closely, and consider all relevant facts.
Assuming you know the answer is a recipe for failure. You can easily be tricked by a detail, even if you are generally familiar with the exemptions and salary basis rules (what this quiz focuses on).
Overtime litigation is getting big. Small amounts on a per-employee, per week basis really add up when calculated for many employees over the two or three years for which recovery is possible. Lawyers representing employees are very much onto the possibilities of making money from such cases.
So watch your backside in this area!
